Cam Jordan, definitely NOT Cam Newton, agrees to contract

how do they keep signing and resigning all these players when they have no cap space??

Desperation.  They can sign, resign, get curb stomped for the NFCS title, wash, rinse, repeat, from now until all eternity for all I care.

Resigning a 1st round pick from 4 years ago reeks of desperation.

Being a 1st round pick in and of itself 4 years ago means about as much as a sack against David Foucault.  The Panthers once way overpaid for a DE too in the not too distant past.  That GM has long since been kicked to the curb two NFCS titles ago, but in his defense at least our guy was coming off a strong year, unlike Mr. Jordan.

Lol wut? DEs get paid. Jordan had a down year, along with the rest of our defense and still logged 7.5 sacks and played stout against the run. He was the 28th ranked DE after being the 4th in 2013 according to PFF.

But I realize the insufferable homer in you want let any move the Saints make be a good one. Saints don't sign Jordan and he walks, you'll say they drafted poorly. Saints sign Jordan, you say he's overpaid. All while thinking Cam should get $25M because he's Michael Jordan of football.
