Panthers 3rd best in the league at drafting receivers

This is really odd IMO. The only great receiver we've drafted since 2000 is Steve Smith. Everyone else has been either an average receiver (Brandon LaFell), a one-season wonder (Keary Colbert, David Gettis), or a bust (Drew Carter, Armanti Edwards). Their methodology is flawed.

I think that you and some others are missing the point. The methodology is not necessarily flawed because it is actually measuring value.  The title of the thread is somewhat misleading because it doesn't mention "value". The OP probably should have stated that the methodology is value-based, in that it emphasizes the production that was received vs the value of the draft position where the receiver was picked.

I am sure that Steve Smith's career skews the scale heavily, as well as Muhsin Muhammad's to a lesser degree.  Hopefully Funchess only makes it better.

The Steelers may top the list one day if Antonio Brown keeps producing at a high level and Martavis Bryant and Markus Wheaton continue to ascend.
