I'd say the manner in which the Panthers absolutely crushed them at their own house may be a good indicator.

they were completely embarrassed and had given up by halftime.

the saints could have really almost wrapped up a division title with a win but they folded like a lawn chair in front of a packed house.  they played with absolutely no heart that day with a lot on the line and if i was a saints fan that would deeply concern me.

Amazing how quickly that thread died when a seemingly logical person posted some truth.

They won the division the last two years. In 2013 the Saints could not hold onto a 5 game lead in a 16 game season against them.

Until proven otherwise they are the current best team in the division. How much smack would this board be talking if the Saints won the division two years in a row?

    • https://x.com/_RyanFowler_/status/1894425328463790155 Doesn’t look like Jeanty is in our plans, and for good reason. I’m almost confident enough to bet my house on drafting a front 7 player if we stay at #8, but TMac could make it interesting.
    • There are some good ones in Free Agency right now--Prices are as high as $17m--realistically, a player like the Colts' Blackmon (who plays deep free safety really well) should cost around $7m, according to Spotrac.   SF's S Hufanga is the practical vet I would like--26 and his salary is predicted to be $11.9m.  I would think we could add one of these and then draft a S and we could be better than last season.  I worry that Evero's defense puts too much pressure on safeties for run support--we have had some decent players flop here.
