Cam Newton The Lebron James of the NFL

Recommended Posts

LeBron James took an awful Cavs team to the Finals ... cool ... Dwight Howard took an awful Magic team to the Finals

The East sucks, if you are the best player in the league you should be able to end up representing the East in the Finals

Cam definitely has the Michael Jordan type of mind makeup, and physical attributes never seen in a QB before, I've been saying Cam will be the GOAT since I seen what he could do on the field in 2011, he was doing what he did in college, in the NFL, but better ...

Agree with this.  I think if anything it pushes people more towards contrast that toward comparison.

And I agree with this . I appreciate the topic but different sports comparisons don't make a lot of sense to me . Also, is Cam tough? Yes Is he tougher than most QB's in the league? Yes Does he fight through injuries, constantly getting hit and comes back from a car wreck? Yes Is his mind make up comparable to the competitive nature of Michael Jordan?? Don't see any comparison or how anyone could compare that. He's got potential no doubt. " Results don't need no explainin"

I'm a cam/ panthers fan but comparing him to MJ is being a major homer. Cam has never won a MVP award or a Super Bowl and he isn't even top 5 at his position.

Jordon played what? 6 seasons? before he won a championship...

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

Let's be real here. Without Dwyane Wade, LeBron wouldn't have those two rings. James never truly dragged The Heat to wins. I'll give him Cleveland though. That Cavs team he took to The Finals was horrific.

He carried Wade in the last Finals.

How can people even make this statement. Without LeBron Dwade would even have anymore rings. We're is Dwade right now. He didn't even make the playoffs

Pitchers in baseball are judged by W-L record because they can singularly have the most effect on the team's wins.

Quarterbacks W-L records in football are simply a talking point and shouldn't even be kept as an official stat that's paid any attention because you can be a HOF type talent at QB on an awful team and not go anywhere.

2013 ECF.  LeBron pretty much carried the Heat through that entire series.  Chris Bosh was nonexistent the whole series, as was Wade... and the shooters were all taking turns slumping.  LeBron single-handedly dominated the Pacers, when they were good, that series.

You could also make a case for the 2013 Finals of that same year.  LeBron was the only consistent player on the team.  Wade had like 1 1/2 games where he showed up (out of 7)... Bosh jacked up BS threes the whole time, and the shooters once again took turns hitting their slumps.

I don't know why he doesn't get more credit for those 2013 Finals.  Yeah, Wade and Bosh were on the team... but that was about it.  It wasn't some trio of All-Star caliber players that won the Finals.  It was LeBron, with a severely hobbled Wade, and a completely invisible Chris Bosh.

Oh yeah, and 2012 ECF against Boston, when the Heat were about to get eliminated... I seem to remember some guy coming out and playing arguably the best playoff game of his career in game 6 when down 3-2.  At the Boston Garden.

LeBron single-handedly destroyed that Boston team, and effectively ended the series, that night,

But yeah, he's never dragged the Heat to wins.  Lmao, yeah right... and these are all just Finals and ECFs moments I'm mentioning.
