Mustard(s) have versatility because of the different types...but ketchup is better if we're just talking it against classic yellow mustard. 

Plus there was green and purple ketchups because the 90s were great.

I don't even think it can be argued.  Ketchup is the more universal condiment and can be eaten with a wider variety of foods.  Tailgating, however, doesn't typically consist of traditional fare, so I can understand the argument.  Hot dogs, kielbasa, sausage dogs, ham biscuits, sausage biscuits, chicken, pork chops, pretzels, and most sandwiches (besides PB&J) would all be better with mustard.  Unless, of course, you're under the age of 10, which means you'd put ketchup on anything.  Other than burger and almost any form of potato, I can't think of any other food on which I'd use ketchup.
