5 reasons the Saints will win NFCS

What exactly did New Orleans or Atlanta show last year to prove they can be contenders?

This!!! About a million times!!! It's so funny how they trash us because we barely won a weak division.....they lost a weak division! Haha!

Honestly, when I seen them downplay the addition of Ginn I knew this writer didn't know his stuff. How was Ginn not a significant upgrade to STs and  the offense.

Also, you completely overlook the defense who had a down-right historical game against the Cards. I don't care who you play against, numbers like those don't come everyday.

Too many under-the-radar signings that are actually gonna be huge for us. Dude just didn't do his homework.

I love how outsiders keep saying we got worse lol we dident lose anyone but yet we some how got worse.

Everyone wants to hate on the thompson and funchess picks but they are brain washed by kipper that hypes up bad players and has drafts based on needs.

Saints will be much more worse next year than they were this year. This year they had the pieces but couldn't make it work, next year they won't have those pieces.

Atlanta on the other hand will be much improved. It will be us vs. them for the division crown.

Hahaha one of the reasons they claim the saints will win the division is "New Orleans bounces back." In other words, "the team will improve because they will get better." Infallible logic there.

i've seen that trope mentioned over and over in articles by national writers even.  i know it's just jed's bayou sports blog linked in the OP and they're supposed to be homers but still.

Looks like they're taking their first steps back to success...

Coach Sean Payton puts 'Compete Street' signs up at practice facility

The brash and bold and cocky and arrogant aren’t welcome on North Compete Street. Walk a block to South Compete Street with that same attitude and someone will tell you to get your mind right.

After all the talk and hype of last season, it might come as a surprise that it’s the New Orleans Saints policing these streets. It’s a new day.

There was a time when they embraced the ideals that will get you booted off these blocks. It didn’t go down smooth. It led to mediocrity and disappointment. From that bottom emerged a more humble and hungry group of players who are ready to compete for their accolades, not just accept the ones bestowed upon them by outside voices.

As a reminder of these ideals, two street signs were recently put up next to the outdoor practice field and indoor facility at the team’s Metairie headquarters. One doesn’t need to dig deep to understand the message. This year the Saints are about competing for jobs, respect, wins, and anything else that can be earned on a football field.

Okay.

Might I also suggest a tree stump and an axe in the middle of the locker room dedicated to the notion that you "keep chopping wood"...
