Biggest transaction

   I know it won't be easy, but what addition do you believe will affect the team the most THIS COMING SEASON? Not in the future, but right now? And why do you believe that?

   I would have to say the addition of  Ginn. He fills two roles that we were lacking last year. No matter how good the defense is, we could give it right back with a mistake on punt returns. I truly got sick to my stomach after third down stops. Field position really had a lot to do with our success in 2013. We put our team (offense and defense) in a position to succeed. That wasn't the case in 2014. 

   Also, he provides much needed playmaking ability on offense. Once the ball is in his hands he gets a returner's mentality. He can take any pass the distance. Even when not making a play on the ball he stretches the field, this should open up passing lanes for Cam & co. Ginn is also surprisingly useful as a blocker, just ask Lafell. Ginn helped break a 70 yard or so TD reception vs Minny. I've also been wondering what Ginn could mean for Brown. I doubt there is anything Ginn could teach Brown technique-wise that Proehl couldn't, but Brown could probably benefit from watching Ginn in practice in some way. I believe people are underestimating Ted. Hopefully NFL teams will too. 

   Although it may not seem that way to the average NFL fan, the Panthers' staff has made some quiet moves that may not remain quiet for very long. These under the radar signings could make the difference between a struggling 7-8-1 team and a 12-4 one. However, we immediately know what we have with Ginn in this system. So what you guys think? Who do you feel was the biggest addition?

I would honestly say that the biggest transaction wasnt a transaction at all.

It was not touching CJ 20 Million cap number. Now he is able to be cut next year for a LARGE savings on the cap (if he needs to be cut) ... He is still worth the money right now.

I'd have to agree with Ginn. There's nobody else who instantly takes one of our units from bottom tier to top tier. He alone could be the difference in several wins this year.

The Defense: I think the biggest transition occurred in 2014 when we finally got healthy and let the youth of this team play.

I don't think it was a coincidence when Bene, and Boston started we started winning.  Now they just need to grow,

The Offense:  I think we have 4 tackles that can play.  Remmers is going to have to fight off Williams and I believe Oher is going to anchor down the left side well and prove once again Gettleman knows what he is doing.

Oher...now does a healthy Oher reunited with Matsko necessarily mean he will be able to reinvent himself into a serviceable (kinda good) LT is the biggest unanswered  question of the offseason 

and the best offseason acquisition would have to be Ginn imo. because i can't ever remember a time besides last year in which i iterally cringed at the sight of opposing teams punters on the field.

Im going with oher, hes an upgrade over bell . Alot of people want to knock on us for having him at our left tackle but they are forgetting we had 2 worse starting tackles last year and that oher was hurt .

Oher has a great chance to turn around

I can get down with Ginn as possibly the biggest (outside of extending Olsen).

 

Kick returners are essentially useless in today's game...but having a legit punt returner back will at least scare some teams and keep them honest. Not seeing Bersin call for a fair catch and pray to God he doesn't drop it is a huge upgrade...for my sanity and our field position.
