Can someone tell me why Devin Booker's ceiling is higher than PJ's?

Because Booker isn't a knucklehead who punches high schoolers in pickup games a week after getting drafted...

c'mon bruh.  PJ went the whole season and we heard nothing bad about him, I'm not worried about that.  Forreal.  PJ hasn't been quite as consistent of a shooter as Booker shows he can be.  But PJ can put it on the deck and get to the rim and make plays that way.  We have no idea if Booker can do that or not.  PJ isn't a shabby defender either.  PJ more athletic too.

Nothing bad about him during the season? Missed practices, didn't even fit the dress code for a road trip, and that bizarre Josh Gordon incident. Not major stuff, but things that clearly show a lack of focus and professionalism he needs to have if he wants to reach that potential.

PJ fell to us in the 20s for a reason. I think he's another JR Smith. The tools are there, he just needs the right situation and the right environment to thrive, and I'm not sure that's in Charlotte, given the proximity to the places where he got in trouble.

Much like JR's move from NY to Cleveland, PJ could benefit much more from a team with an established pecking order from which he can learn and focus. Charlotte is too young and not successful enough to have that yet.

I think we would all be thrilled if PJ is as good as JR Smith

I'm not a PJ fanboy by any means, I just don't like the idea of spending two first round picks on guys that their main strength is shooting.  Too early to give up on PJ

Then again we were BAD at three pointers last year holy poo really bad actually when I think about it Booker still makes sense cause he and PJ can both play 3 too.  If only we could move Hendo/Lance preferably Lance

The truth is that we will never know what either has to offer as long as Clifford keeps up his BS youth on the bench crap style of coaching. PJ and Vonleh should have had FAR more opportunities than they did this year and more than proved themselves when given opportunities. Guys can't gain consistency though if you are so inconsistent with giving them their opportunities.
