Kug is cut

Recommended Posts

There was a time, right after we drafted Kug, that I thought he might turn into something useful.  I think I even argued on his behalf once or twice.  Clearly I was very...very drunk at the time I formed that opinion.

Where's the line for the "could we not ever draft another small school project OL" bandwagon?  Are there cookies?

I knew this turd wasn't gonna make it. I didn't like the pick to Begin with. Glad Dollar Tree Dave is at least quickly willing to move on from mistakes.

...yea, thats really all you can ask for at this point...Marty would have extended him and gave him a salary increase...

4th round is still a valuable round. Reaching for small school o-linemen is careless drafting.

I am sorry, SCP, Gettleman and "careless drafting" does not compute. But it does show that even Gman is not perfect. I know that it won't be, but all of Gman nut huggers should take this as a lesson. I like and respect Gman, but I have never thought that he could do no wrong.

At times it gets kind of irritating arguing with people that apparently believe that Gettleman is a Gettle-god as opposed to a Gettle-man.

Overall he has done a solid job as a GM, and has forced fed us his philosophy along the way. He hasn't been careless, but he hasn't been flawless either.

My memory may be faulty on this, but I seem to remember that Kugbila (or Amani? or both?) were chosen because Ron Rivera had fallen in love with him/them?

Is my memory incorrect here?

I'm glad he's not starting but it would be silly to cut him just because he isn't 1st string worthy.  He's quality depth.  You need that on an o-line.

No he is not quality depth.  He sucks.  We are a better team when he is off the field.  Doesn't matter if it was some guy off the street, the minute Silatolu is out the game we are better.  I would love to see him on the Falcons, Saints, or Bucs team.

He has done a great job, I'm not arguing that. But drafting an injured D2 project is careless when we are a team that is determined to build through the draft.
