Last year's rookie class was arguably the best in team history, especially when you factor in the undrafted players.

Maybe, just maybe, the scouting departments know a bit more than the general public that reads Kiper's assessments and watches some YouTube highlights. After all, they do get paid to do this kind of thing....just saying

It's pretty simple: Gettleman, whom I trust to evaluate skills, thought that Funchess was the better prospect.  I don't understand why some people refuse to wrap their heads around that fact.

Except that some teams seem to hire the same talking head mentality and their poor picks enable the public to keep thinking they can do a better job. You can't win 'em all, but the Panther pickers are coming up with some winners so I prefer to believe that we've got a good crew when it comes to the draft.
