Confidence Level for the 2015 Season

Panthers have the personnel to be Top 5 Team in the NFL!

 

I'm not worried about defense, should be top 7 or better.Special Teams will be in the middle of the pack just by having better player. Now Offense can be top 10 if these 5 things happen 

 

~ If Oher can be an below average or average LT and Remmers & Williams average RT (not worried about Kalil, Nowell, & Turner)

 

~ *JStew & Core offense players can stay healthy [*Big IF] 

 

~ Run a 2 TE Set 50% time (Olsen, Dickson, *Funchess, & Benjamin all over 6'4 235lb) [*Funchess is a decent #2 & plays closer to his pro day speed]

 

~ Run the No Huddle 60% time (That mean Cam is takin control of the offense)

 

~ If Cam can get back to being 2014 1st 5 games Cam but HEALTHY

 

"But will Rivera and Shula run this type of Offense?"

Me: "The Panthers are going to be really good this year."

Friend: "Don't you say that every year?"

Me: "...... um... but they are going to be really good THIS year...."

It seems like this is the common consensus among Huddlers:

  • The Panthers will have a top 5 defense
  • The Panthers will have a much better offense, top 15ish
  • The Panthers will have a much improved special teams unit
  • The Panthers will win the NFC South
I personally think this is the most confident I have ever been at this point in the offseason. I was way too confident last year. Going into the season, and even after the first two games, I was thinking we couldn't be stopped. After several blowouts, I saw the obvious holes in the O-line, secondary(as it was then), and WR core.

How does your confidence going into this season compare with past seasons? Are we being homers, or do we really know that the Panthers are going to light it up in 2015?

Confidence level: 100%

Why not? What are people afraid? That they're expectations will be crushed and they'll need psychiatric treatment for depression?

Be a goddam fan and hope/wish/desire for the best!

Wait... I forgot... some "fans" prefer to be "real". And then when success does occur, they grab on to that caboose.

The area I'm most confident in: Our D sustains the late season form or better.  Ron/McD got the wildcard/playmaker on defense they've wanted so badly.  Also, the secondary has come a LONG way since the beginning of last season when many were expecting to start Melvin White and Josh Thomas initially (lol).  Now?  Josh-Bene-Tillman-Teddy-Peters-etc...so much better from a confidence standpoint.    

 

 

The offense will produce.  We were fine with getting the ball into the redzone but our tendencies with Shula are to have random, ill-timed cold streaks and punching it in the endzone outside of a Cam run within the 5yl.  We have made measures to assure success in a road grader in Williams, a fresh healthy non-fumbling RB, and another monster of a wideout.  

 

The offense is FINALLY more built for the offense the coaches have been trying to run.  Chain movers that control the tempo of the game.  When things need to heat up though, we've now got enough ammunition to do so.
