Which 3 New Additions Are You Most Excited About?

Probably Ginn.  The return game might actually be decent this year.

Tillman if he can stay healthy, will give us a decent veteran across from Norman, and give the younger guys a chance to continue to develop.

Maybe Oher.  If he can just be decent, that would be a dramatic improvement over last year.

As always, I take a wait and see attitude towards the rookies.

Im excited to see:

1. What Shaq can do but I think it will take at least a few games before he gets comfortable.

2. Williams and how he helps our run game.

3. Ginn back on special teams. I hope he hasnt lost a step due to age.

I would've included Ginn, but in my mind he's not really a new addition. It feels as if he got hurt last year in camp or something and was out the year. I mean players we are the most part unfamiliar with.

Shaq - His swagger and playmaking ability bring a whole new aspect to the D that we severely lacked last year. Reminds me of Mike Mitchell, except he plays smart.

Funchess - What a freak of nature, he can turn out to be better than Kelvin, and that idea is insane.

Oher - He isn't Byron Bell, a Canadian UDFA, or a player who played on the defensive line the year before. +1

I'm glad you are not the GM if you are looking for swagger.

Devin Funchess - will end up as our #1a (KB #1b) because he can line up anywhere. Not sure how many know this, but in HS Funch was a DE, TE, OLB, WR. He has only played exclusively at WR for a few years now.  With someone to coach him up on the subtle nuances of the position, I think he's going to blossom into an unbelievable threat from anywhere on the field.

Brandon Wegher - kind of a dark horse (he might not even make the team), but if he does, look out. He's a stout north/south angry runner with enough speed to break one 40-50 yards.  Even more importantly, he will block and has hands out of the backfield. He and C-A-P. will make for a nice tandem for the future.

Shaq Thompson - Going to learn a lot in the first 2 years. If he develops, will be good for Luke in that he won't miss a beat when TD retires. Without Shaq, we could see Luke's production diminish when TD hangs it up.

In no particular order...

Shaq Thompson - We already have the best 4-3 linebacking corps in the league. If Shaq can step in and contribute immediately, we may well have one of the best ones in NFL history, and I'm not exaggerating.

Cameron Artis-Payne - I was never one to go after DeAngelo - I felt he was a solid starter in 2013 (Pro Football Reference rated him as the ninth-best running back and PFO rated him 12th), especially when he didn't have to split carries with Stewart, but 2014 really showed he just doesn't have the speed or vision to make up for a weak line anymore. Payne seems to come from the same mold and I really think he'll be a great change-of-pace guy for us.

Ted Ginn - Our return game was awful last year and actually lost us games. Ginn alone is good enough to possibly give us a top-ten return game, and I hope he'll have a good role in the receiving game as well. With defenses having to lock onto our possession receivers like Olsen, Benjamin, and Funchess, Ginn will have a great opportunity to rack up tons of long receptions.

Not sure I would go so far as to say excited but I am curiously intrigued with Jonathan Martin.

I'm excited about Martin because in my opinion I think he has the potential to be a good offensive lineman for the Panthers. Let's not forget he was a second round pick a couple of years ago. He really wasn't in good situations with the Dolphins of 49ers and I hope he can make the switch with the Panthers and do great things.
