Should The Clippers Move On From Chris Paul?

Paul ain't coming back home. If Paul leaves LA, he's going to a team that is on the verge of winning a championship. Plus, I think if we're going to go after any Carolina sons, then i would hope they'd go after John Wall.

CP3 is a great point guard but he lacks the killer instinct that Westbrook, Wall, Lillard etc. all have.

However, he's not the problem. It's time for LA to start over. That's not a great roster for a championship pedigree. The Clippers are just an exciting team to watch. The style of play is the same with Doc as it was with Vinny. They don't play half court playoffs basketball like the rest. It's alley oop after ally oops.

They're saying that they want Jordan back but it's probably better for them to move on from him. Find a real center that can play the post and a SF or SG too.

Good post, Chuck...

Brings up an interesting idea. Without looking, i dont know how the salaries would work, but what if DJ walks? You mentioned their inability to slow it down and play in the half court (coincidentally which is where i think cp3 is at his best), so why not see if we can sucker them into taking Big Al? This is all fantasy of course... no team of a sane mind would touch Al at this point, except us, because we have to lol...

And to be clear, i think paul's greatest limitations rest in his personality. For all the wholesome, good-guy crap they try to push with the state farm ads, the dude is a pretty big douche on the court. That was kind of what,i was alluding to when i mentioned Griffin playing much better while Paul was out... Great leaders challenge their teammates without destroying or smothering them. I get the feeling that cp3 does a lot more of the latter. I think he is extremely abrasive and it starts to wear on his teammates.

Again, he is a great player, but i think we've seen his ceiling here, unless they get a bigger star, better than him.

Agree. Paul is kinda an asshole on the court.

I don't think he'll be there long. Either he'll force his way out or like you said guys will get tire of his attitude.

Griffin is the centerpiece of that team. The only reason why they made it that far into the playoffs was bc of Griffin.

Doc: "Stop fu*king flopping!!!"

Yea, the way Paul plays rubs me the wrong way, and I'm sure some of his teammates feel a certain way. I could see him and a player like DJ clashing. I don't like the way Chris flops on the court. Some say it's him playing smart basketball, but it annoys me. I was getting pissed watching him yesterday; especially late in the game.
