Proof that Sport Illustrated "predictions" are BS

I think it's between Saints/Falcons/Panthers, and pretty close.   When you look at our team, we have a medicore HC that is  routinely outcoached with an offensive coordinator that has no creativity.   You have a staff that thought Bell/Chandler was the anwser at LT and when it wasn't, decided to get castoffs from other teams to plug in there (it may work, and I know FA was slim, but look at it from the outside in).  Beside the line, we didn't solve the speed issue on our WR core and instead took another slow big receiver.   They don't see Ginn as the speed anwser or other people on our team that are undrafted or castoffs from other teams.

Every other team that isn't #1 on that list probably says the thing we are, but look at it from any non-fan's point of view and we don't look that much better.  We also won the division with a 7-8-1 record so that really doesn't mean much in their eyes either.

Why are people continually advancing the false narrative of Funchess being slow?

Why are people continually advancing the false narrative of Funchess being slow?

Because he is?  Because game film shows him getting tackled by slower defenders via shoestring and other things.   Let's just say, on this team, he's slow when you need speed and already have a guy like KB on here.  Funchess is basically a TE.  I'm not saying he won't be great here or whatever, but this is what others are seeing.

    • Poor guy went from practice squad paychecks to active roster paychecks. Based on his 1 accrued year, he went from $234k to $960k. Poor guy absolutely loves being here in Charlotte.
    • People wanted to get rid of Cam. He was our other fist round QB selection. You keep them through their rookie contracts. You cant provide a better solution because their isn't one right now. The only 2 QBs that could overcome our historically bad team is Mahomes and Josh Allen. They dont grow on trees buddy.  Sellars nor Archie Manning close to them right now.
    • I have zero faith in Dan, Dave and Dave. Terrible owner and his wife who can't keep their noses out of football operations, Dan who is a leftover from one of the worst GMs in NFL history, and DC who is a rah rah football coach with a blah vanilla offense that looks like he's in completely over his head.  My expectations before the season was 3-4 wins. After the 1st couple games, maybe 1-2 if we get lucky. 3 if Tampa has locked up the NFCS and isn't playing for playoff position and decides to fug us over in our draft position.
