Restaurants not to miss

I'm headed to Charlotte in a few weeks and I'm looking for some really good places for some grub. I'm hoping to find some really good down home southern cooking that you just can't get on the west coast, but Im not restricting myself to just that.The food is something I really miss and I'd like to get my grub on while I'm back, especially with some awesome bbq.

I second the Midwood Smokehouse....  I love East Charlotte....  Go up Central Ave. a little bit further and try the Landmark Diner...  You wont leave there hungry !!

Oh and for Soul Food I go to Floyd's out on Graham St.  It's an old Hardee's turned Soul Food....

Perfect She Crab Soup and for lunch the Steak Salad, get the Oriental dressing(of course).  With the perfect grilled steak it makes most eye roll in flavor-gasams.

Speaking of Central Ave, hit up John's Country kitchen for breakfast. Stick around the neighborhood and have lunch at the Diamond. I prefer Mac's to Midwood Smokehouse for BBQ, but you can't go wrong either way.
