Going to Outer Banks for the first time ever

Port O'Call in Nags Head had some great food.  Don't know if that's still there or not.  Also, if you like beer and good sea-food in a laid back place, Awful Arthur's is pretty good....that's in Kitty Hawk I believe.  Haven't been there in a few years so they might have some newer ones.

As for places to see, I'd say the sand dunes, Wright Brothers Memorial, and the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island.

Of course all of these places are on the northern outer banks.

I enjoyed driving that main road and seeing all the different lighthouses

My wife loves lighthouses! Might have to stop and take pictures. I also booked 12 hour long fishing charter and purchased surf fishing rod and reel. Will go out in the early morning and maybe evening, will try to catch few things.

Go to Ocracoke, ask around for someone to take you to Portsmouth Island.  Will cost about 20 bucks.  They will drop you off and pick you up later.  There is and abandoned town, used to be a coast gaurd station.  Groups "adpot" the buildings and still maintain the structures.  When you are not on the beach side you will need mosquito repellant.  On the beach side the mosquitos are not a problem.  Take a lunch.  If you are with a significant other.  Take your clothes off and run around naked or whatever.  You will most likely be totally alone.  If not no will bother you.  Dont be surprised if see other naked people in the distance.  Plenty of cool sea shells.  Plenty of quiet.  Very peaceful.

That sounds like a plot to a horror movie!

I went over to Porstmouth a few years ago with some locals (my wife is from Ocracoke).  I've never seen anything like the mosquitos over there. We were literally sprinting to shelter as a swarm of those suckers chased us. It was pretty damn funny looking back. It is a really cool place, but yeah bring bug spray.

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
