How many true, lifelong Panthers fans are actually out there?

I don't really think it's fair to judge someone before the Panthers even existed. I also don't think it's fair to judge someone before they even truly know what a football is.

That being said, I've rooted for the Panthers since I wad 5 years old. Should be around year 2000.

i agree. i was born in late 1991 so that makes me 23. but i didnt follow sports in the slightest until 2003. and even then, i didnt really understand the game until 2008. but i can honestly say that ever since ive followed football, i have been a Carolina Panther fan. and i would never dare look back.

i do cheer for secondary teams once in a while, but those are fads that pass season to season. i used to like the Seahawks as a secondary team. now im indifferent. ive always thought to myself that when Belichek and Brady retire, i might consider following the Patriots alittle. every year i pretty much pick a team from every division to root for. but none ever match the passion i feel for Carolina.

i come from a very mixed family though. my dad's father is a Colts fan, step mom is a dolphins fan, step mom's mother is a cowboys fan, there are Falcons fans and Redskins fans in my dad's side of the family, and steelers and eagles fans in my step-mom's side of the family. my mentor at church is a Broncos fan and im sure my biological mother's family are all Arizona Cardinals fans...

Watched Football growing up and played it I'm 29 and I've always had Unc as my fav orite basketball team.1 of my favorite players was Peppers and he went to the NFL so I came for Peppers but have never left like he did. But my daughter is 2 and her mother is fighting tooth and nail to get her to like the Titans but she's not biting so we're gonna have a lifelong Panthers fan.

I was in the 6th-7th grade when we got the Panthers. Don't remember following them much the inaugural season, but definitely remember rushing home from my dads house on the weekend to watch the Panthers beat the Ravens to make sure we were in the playoffs. Remember beating Dallas to move on and experienced my first salty-loss as a football fan against the Packers (many more to come)..

Before then, my mom was and is a Skins fan. I said I liked the Cowboys and rooted for them in the Cowboys/Steelers Superbowl just to mess with her but really knew nothing about football. So I say I am a Panthers fan for LYFE!!!

I didnt even care about the NFL until we got a local team. I was 17 going on 18 at that time, and those were the days where boys will be boys.

That was back when "Gin n Juice" was still a hit. I wouldnt call myself a "true" Panthers fan as i dont even live in the US anymore, cant attend games, never been to a huddle cookout...etc. However, what I can say is that the Panthers are the only NFL team I care about, the only games I watch, and the only team that means anything to me.

My family was all over the place as far as NFL fans go. My papaw is a diehard Redskins fan. My Dad somehow became a Dolphins fan. Being from NC I felt like I had no choice but to root for the home team. The only time my support wavered was during my college days (late 90s). I was in Mississippi at the time and finding a Panthers game on TV was rare.

I got caught up in the "Greatest Show on Turf" St. Louis Rams hype. I had a huge man-crush on Torry Holt (go Wolfpack) who pretty much single-highhandedly beat FSU his senior year. So I followed the Rams while in school, then after my 4 year pot-induced haze ended (with a degree) I regained my senses and came back to the Panthers. My friends still give me a lot of poo for the flip-flop. I'm a Panthers fan until the day I die from here on out. And as my son and daughter grow up they will hopefully pick the right team too!

I'm 43. I was behind the Richardson's 100% in bringing a team to Charlotte. I am still very grateful to them for getting us this team. However, I did in fact pull for the Bengals until the Panthers came along. I'll never forget Sam Wyche grabbing the mic and telling the Cincinnati fans, "You don't live in Cleveland, you live in Cincinnati!" Good times.
