How many true, lifelong Panthers fans are actually out there?

This circle jerk thread rivals the la'el Collins press conference.

So here ya go sig you fugin western bitch goob troop;

I grew up in the Bay Area and was as big of a fan as a 5-9 year old could possibly be. I didn't understand the game but. Rice and Young. Loved the way young played the game. Still have my rice jersey that my dad got me in candlestick when I was 6 yrs old.

Moved to NC and followed the panthers because they were on TV. I remember loving Greene and thinking the unis were cool. Didn't became a considerable fan til smitty in 03, sat through the delhomme meltdown and watched every game in 2010. Thought about just never watching football again. Then September 11th 2011 in Arizona happened. And my fandom exploded.

My knowledge of the Panthers has increased exponentially because of this site.

I am old but have been a panther fan from their beginning. Growing up we were a family divided b/t Skins fans and Cowboy fans.

I was a Cowboys fan until JJ came along and fired Tom Landry so the Panthers came along almost at the right time.

Lived in SC until I was 6 or 7 and don't think I had even heard of the Panthers then lol. Moved here in 1998ish but really follow football, because until I was like 10 I couldn't understand what the objective was (the concept of down and distance and multiple ways to score totally confused me) so I pretty much stuck to pulling for the Hornets until 03.

I'm 25. Born in 1990 and have been a Panther fan since 95'. I was a new fan of the game and they were a new team. As a 5 year old I picked them for the logo and color scheme and have stuck with them ever since. Being a fan of a team in another region hasn't been easy. I remember "watching" entire games on ESPN Gamecast because there was no such thing as Red Zone or Sunday Ticket.

Age 5 or 6 here rocking a Panther t-shirt. My bowl cut was the GOAT.

As someone also not in the region where Panthers games were shown, I too know the struggle of constantly refreshing ESPN Gamecast to watch the Panthers. I also used to watch the games on my local channels and keep an eye out on the ticker at the bottom for Panthers score updates.

Born in 88. Not going to lie. I think I was a Packers fan when I was younger. I said think because I was way too young to know anything about football, but I always chose the Packers on my Sega Genesis. I can't remember when I became a Panthers fan, but I know I had an elementary school aged birthday party at a game. I became a die hard fan probably around 12-14.

I never had a team I pulled for before the Panthers.

My friends had teams. I'd watch and get to know Football (I was more a NASCAR and basketball kid growing up, outside skateboarding)

I was told "you need to pick a team so we can talk poo to you!" I asked what were the newest teams... they said 2 teams coming into the league this season. I picked the Panthers, being I was such a NASCAR fan (via my dad) and a Hornets fan.

So, since they started playing in the league. I've been a fan. Life long, I can't say that I guess being they haven't been around all my life. But Their life? Yes sir. Life long.

I'm 25 and been following the panthers since the inaugural season became a diehard fan in 99 when I finally was able to fully grasp the concept of football beyond touchdowns lol and got the new logo tattooed on me because the change felt right and I felt it was time to show my love for the panthers constantly

I was born in LA, moved to Chapel Hill at 6 months. Since there were no NC teams, I supported LA teams growing up in the 70s and 80s. Rams became public enemy #1 when they moved to StL.

Now that NC has pro teams, I'm all NC all the time. No matter where I live, NC will always be my home, been a panthers and hurricanes fan since day 1.
