That's pretty much my attitude on it.  I like OBJ well enough and I think he's a future superstar, wanted him in the draft last year.  But I dislike everything Patriots more than I like OBJ, heh.

He most certainly was, and if he had played all 16 games he would have had a real shot at breaking Moss' rookie WR record.  Even with the missed games, I'd call his the second best rookie WR year ever.

I fuging hate the Pats, but I'll admit I love Gronk. Dude fully embraces his meat headedness. Seems like most NFL players are meat heads at heart but try to downplay it. Gronk just goes all in on it.

He lead the NFL in receiving yardage per game last year at 108.8ypg. He was a lot more than just one play.

OBJ is a freak. He was the best WR in the NFL last year. The numbers he put up were ridiculous and that catch might be the single greatest catch ever.

And similar to Cam, he was the most exciting player in the entire NFL as a rookie.

That said, he's on the cover because he plays in NYC. Major markets run sports. If Cam played in NYC he would've been on the cover of Madden 12.

That's just the way it is in the real world.

Talented yes overrated yes looking at garbage time which honestly doesn't count other than boosting your stats is when he got most of his yardage and scores against mediocre teams mind you once Cruz is back those numbers will deflate and the competition will bring him down to earth he's good but I still think we had offensive rookie of the year who had multiple highlight reel catches
