Panthers/Steelers or State/Gamecocks

i thought it was funny that nc state wants to do a red and white out .. dont the fans already wear that anyway XD .. wont that just make the ball easier to see for akeem auguste and chris culliver to pick off?

Ahem, excuse me? Russell Wilson is on pace right now to set a record for most consecutive passes without a pick, I doubt SC will change that. Unless of course, they hit him and give him a concussion like they did last year at our opening day, which nearly ruined our season...

This year though our backup QB is actually very good, Glennon, but he's a freshman so I'm not sure what to expect, they've been touting him like he's some Matt Ryan type guy.

SC/NC state after our starters are pulled.

I never got this mentality. For me, the whole point of the preseason IS the backups. The starters are in cruise control, and spending too much time watching them in the preseason leads you to start making assumptions (like we are a 5-11 team...derr). Only thing I want out of the starters from the preseason is a clean injury report.

Meanwhile, the backups are kids fighting for their careers, trying to make plays. A lot of them are guys that I watched play when they were in college. I want to see how they do on the big stage. That's the fun part.

EDIT:

btw, not attacking you, CLT. Just using your post as a reference.

I'm a freshman in the college of engineering, so yeah.

I'm still only watching the first hour of the State game.

You didn't request free student tickets!? What the!?

Are you going tailgating at least outside Carter Finley in the student section?

When you do get tickets to other games, make sure to be one of the first in the stadium so you can get in the lower level, I liked section 7 and 8, it's usually the most rowdy. :)

DVR the Panthers game, watch the State/SC game. Should be entertaining. Don't have a dog in the fight, but State looked decent the second half of last year.

That's because our starting QB came back from a concussion at the SC season opener last year. We would have handily won our bowl game too if he hadn't been injured in it...

I've never really enjoyed college football or tailgating, but I'm going to start watching more on Saturdays.

Plus my father would disown me if he thought I was a college football fan (he talks about it like it's a pussy sport). Then I just remind him that he was a St. Louis (football) Cardinals fan for 30-something years. Shuts him up good.

Haha, well it's something you should experience at least once while you're at State. If you like basketball you should go to a game at the RBC center when it starts up, see Sidney Lowe in his famous red jacket.

Ahh good times i remember when andre woodson had that going in kentucky .. rem who ended that? Captain Munnerlyn of SC .. i since Akeem or Chris doing it again .. i dont wanna see the concussion .. cause u actually have a legitimate chance of competing this year with wilson .. but rem dont forget the kentucky game tonight .. id say 3rd qtr maybe ?

there is no positive outcome for the college game. Both programs are bathed in mediocrity currently. The neat thing about both these team is the absurdity of their fans. The fan bases of the cocks and wuffies think their teams are actually pretty good and are some of the biggest poo-talkers ever. I am watching the game hoping they kill one-another.

(not literally die but you know)

I am also watching the game hoping to get lots of laughs at that dumbass ol' ball sack retard HC in Columbia and the miserable faces on the wusspack fans faces when they lose. That poo is priceless.

Hmm, very biting criticism of our teams, who do you pull for sir? As an alumni of NC State I have grown resilient to sh*t talking from other fans, because we haven't been 'good' since Rivers went to the NFL. Yet we best some good teams routinely season in and season out.

Atleast we got rid of Chuck Amato...
