Watching last night's raw from the start. First fatal 4 way was awesome. All four guys had their momentum times, Finn was used brilliantly and finished explosively. Hoping the rest of the show maintains that pace.

Last nights RAW was pretty great.  One of the best in a while. They started their new brand with a bang for sure.

Tonight's Smackdown was fine too, but RAW took the first week by a wide margin

Only complaint was the name "Universal Championship" for their new title.

I realize I am a total mark for Sasha and Bayley but they are seriously probably my two favorite wrestlers and I cant help it.  And this is coming from a guy who used to not give two shyts about women wrestlers.

I wanna know how these wrestlers really feel. Like, hearing "you're gonna get over this month, then become champion" has to be cool to hear, but how emotional  can you get when you know the outcome?

I know lol.

But I have been watching these two since they were just a couple of "average Janes" in NXT.  So watching them grow and develop into these huge stars... it is just awesome.  I feel invested in their successes and failures.

Add in their real life relationship which I describe as whatever the female version of bromance is, it is just hard not to pull for them to succeed.

So when Bayley gets perhaps the largest reception of the year (and the loudest reception for any female performer in WWE history) when she debuts and when Sasha wins the title, I admit I get pretty damn pumped up and emotional.  

The 4 horsewomen of NXT helped pull me back into wrestling after a near 10 year hiatus so I have a soft spot for them.

And being that invested in certain characters is what makes wrestling fun.  At least for me.

I think it is more achieving a lifelong dream.  Hard work finally coming to fruition by winning the title.

I think everyone knew Sasha was going to win the title, but it was a shock it happened on RAW and not SummerSlam.

So I wonder if Sasha even knew she was going to win until Monday.

CWC was a little slower last night with more mat wrestling than high flying stuff 

First time watching Sabre Jr.  I feel like he is the type that needs to wrestle someone who has a different style than his technical counter escape artist submission mat style wrestling.  But dude is smooth as glass and his counters are pretty rediculous.

He also needs to put on 20 pounds

But in a show that featured Sabre Jr., it was Raul Mendoza who stole the show even though he lost.  That dude was pretty freaking awesome

you must have hated the late 90s. that was every single week with the new age outlaws. at least this dude adds something different each time.

Just in case Roman Reigns was curious, this is what "over" sounds like live
