Ricochet (above) is Prince Puma on Lucha Underground. Any of you guys watch it? At this point, I like it better than WWE. There is some pretty good talent on their roster. I feel like their success with Lucha and the way they respect their women as actual wrestlers and not some sub-set have both pushed WWE to make changes over the last year or so. Also, that Cero Miedo match between Pentagon Jr and Vampiro was fuggin nuts.

I haven't watched it but have heard nothing but great things about it, including their women wrestlers.  Most notably the recent No Mas match with Sexy Star and Cheerleader Melissa (or whatever her name is in Lucha Underground).

But I think the changes for women in WWE has more to do with the success of women's wrestling in NXT more than what is going on in Lucha.  NXT has been putting on good women's matches since before Lucha even existed, and the popularity of the 4 horsewomen of NXT took it to a whole different level.

Once Sasha, Charlotte, and Becky came up to main roster they were going to have to take the women more seriously.  And even though they are doing better they still have a long, long way to go on main roster.

I hope brand split helps the women get more TV time, because once Bayley is up there and eventually Asuka they are going to have a ton of female talent who already have a built in fanbase in the WWE universe

Also, who do you guys think the hottest female (or male, I suppose) on the WWE roster is?

I'm digging Becky Lynch. Red hair and nice tush.

Becky is pretty

Eva Marie is ridiculously good looking.  She just cant wrestle or act for shyt.

I think Sasha Banks is beautiful also.

I think Asuka is hot too, but she scares the poo out of me.

That was a good match. Sexy Star is legit.

I missed the NXT movement but certainly like the talent injection into the WWE.

Female wrestling has been arguably better than male wrestling in Japan for decades. Even in Mexico the women throw it down. LU is new, yes. NXT does it right, yes. But WWE will never turn the leaf to what it could be. They'll always be "divas".

I hope that you are wrong, but afraid that you are probably right.

I just hope the brand split helps.  Last time it actually did help the women and made bigger stars of Lita and Trish

But God if they manage to fug up with Sasha, Becky, Bayley, Asuka, Charlotte, and Paige all on the roster then it is never going to happen on WWE main roster (or at least as long as Vince is in control of creative)

Bayley alone should be a license to print money for WWE.  Her ability to appeal to both kids and smarks at the same time is rare this day and age.  She is going to be marketable as fug, if they dont screw her up.  But that is a big if.

Honestly, until they get rid of the stupid "divas" tv show, they aren't taking it seriously IMO.

Moose, Roderick Strong, and Tommy End are possibly WWE bound.

I expect they are going to load up on talent because they will want to fill NXT coffers pretty quickly after the brand extension

I think there will be more signings in the next couple of months

I still expect to see Bobby Roode show up in NXT soon. on another note, has anyone else seen the dumb segment TNA did with the Hardy's? It was almost as bad as the dungeon of doom segments from the early 90s. Matt hardy is completely bereft of charisma and acting skills.

First full episode of Raw that I'm watching in years. On DVR right now.. Good workers from last I watched middle of last year, but so many guys flat on the mic. Granted I saw bits of one episode.

Dean Ambrose and Y2J saved the opening segment.

Cesaro didn't impress me. Has a decent look, but he's not the most fluid guy in the ring. Has his moments, but just didn't like him. His signals for Jericho in that opening match were too obvious. Completely disengages a fan paying attention because it's just sloppy. The uppercuts are slow and sloppy. Just not a fun guy to watch.  The swing to sharpshooter just looked silly.
