Open WWE/NXT/Pro Wrestling thread

They need to get rid of divas, sorry, I have to say it.  There are only ever a few that can actually wrestle.  They need to limit to RAW to 2 hours and this would leave them with no room for divas.  WWE has the talent to put together a good 2 hour show each week on Raw, maybe just have the divas on smackdown/NXT or even their own show (that no one would watch probably though).

I disagree wholeheartedly.  2 of the top 5 matches this year in all of WWE was the women IMO.  Both were in NXT.

The fatal 4 way match was awesome, with Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Bayley.

And Sasha Banks vs Beck Lynch was maybe the best women's match I have ever seen.

The future is bright in the diva's division

Maybe it's shell shock from over a decade of terrible woman wrestlers.

I just don't see the point though, I'm not a sexist person, but they can't do the moves the male wrestlers do (usually), their mic work isn't as great either, and the storylines are already the worst.  And those annoying sounds they make in the ring as well.   Maybe the creative team could give them more time and that would help at least.

That may be pushing it.

Maybe if the roster had better talent than R-Truth he would be able to care. Thank God for the wrestlers on NXT starting to come up.

There are a lot of talented wrestlers on there now who are horribly miscast. They've been ding that for years. Vince focuses on Cena because he chooses to not out if necessity due to a lack of talent.

Disagree. Several wrestlers are overrated because the fans clamor for someone to actually have talent. An example is Dolph Ziggler. He is a mediocre wrestler and just decent on the mic. The guys coming up from NXT should solve that problem though.

I dont think so.  The fatal 4 way was awesome

And just about everyone considers Becky Lynch v Sasha Banks as a MOTY candidate.

Except maybe you :-p

Don't get me wrong, it was a good match. I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, there have been legendary matches this year, and that is one I don't consider up to that level.

Dolph is awesome in both areas when he has been given a chance. He bumps well and he makes his opponents look great. He also cuts awesome promos when that aren't scripted.

Divas put on a pretty damn good match tonight.  At least the parts when Brie Bella was laying on the outside.

I'm really excited about the girls.

Cena and Owens was great again, but I just feel like they are neutering Kevin Owens and now they have taken a potential superstar and quickly made him just another guy on the roster.  The "new guy is almost as good as Cena but not quite so you should totally respect him" formula has never paid off for anyone.

I don't care if the Undertaker is 90 years old and comes out with a walker I will always mark out when the gong hits.  Lesnar shouldn't have beat up his little brother.  I love Lesnar but I have felt they have booked him maybe too strong, but what better opponent for SummerSlam than the Deadman.

Unanswered questions:

So is Big Show a heel or a face?  Does anyone turn back and forth more than he does?

Who is next to challenge Rollins?  There are rumors abound another former Superstar is supposed to be returning for SummerSlam.  Could it be him?

What are they doing with Ambrose?  Perhaps the most universally over full time guy in WWE has no storyline with the second biggest PPV of the year right around the corner.  Do they go with 66% of the The Shield vs 66% of the Wyatt family?

Is there any reason for Cena and Owens to fight one more time?  Or are they both moving on to new feuds?  Where does Owens go from here?

    • Super raw, not sure he is worth a top 10 pick.  Primary a pass rusher.  A bit like Burns, very fast athletic but doesnt always follow the play.  His highlights look good but when you watch him play you can see he is just raw and needs to develop
    • Personally, I am not sold on Bryce yet--and I do not think anyone is saying they are, but I don't think Ward is on table when we draft anyway.  Not even sure if I would rather have him than one of the later QBs.  I see a lot of potential in Allar, Nussmeire, Rourke, and even Hamilton from Ohio State--Milroe is intriguing, but I am not sure he is an NFL QB.  Ewers is that sleeper who falls and becomes a solid starter. I think that we sign a veteran who has played and we draft one of these project QBs. To your point:  With that in mind, I think you have to take QB off the table in round 1, and if Bryce can string 4-5 games like KC together, we still need to draft a QB in round three or so---I really think Rourke is a great fit for this offense--he is accurate and gets the ball out quickly---he impressed me vs OSU.   Reason?  I think we may have a tough decision to make about Bryce in 2 years--will he be worth $60m?  That decision is a lot easier if you have been grooming a backup for 2 years who can play. In round 1: I am hoping for PSU's edge Abdul Carter In round 2:  I would like to see us grab a DT who can rush the passer.  Walter Nolen of Ole Miss is versatile and a bit raw. I think he could be an excellent complement to Brown. In round 3:  I would love ILB Danny Stutsman from Oklahoma.  He is a beast. With 11 picks, I would package our 4th rounders to move up into the third round and take a QB.  At the moment, I think Rourke is trending upward and he has the skills Canales seems to want in a QB.  Quick processor, quick release. I would use the fifth rounders on OL.  I know that I left out WR--however, we are getting Thielen back, XL will be improved, Coker will be improved, and Moore has been surprisingly good.  Sanders (TE) has been more than expected in the passing game.  I think we need D more than WR, and maybe we can get a veteran WR to sign or find a hidden gem late.
    • Wouldn't be surprised if he starts a couple Jets games this year with the way the Rodgers thing is going. Giants fans are pissed they didn't keep him lol. He might actually have a little bit of a market.
