Don't want to get too excited, but I saw him in person yesterday as well, and he definitely stood out. 

 

We got Brown as a UDFA and I'd be happy with a repeat performance.  Doubt he can crack the starting 53, but he could be a stash guy that gets more burn once guys like Ginn, Cotchery, Hill, etc make it or break it in '16.

He's not wrong. Byrd is a long shot to make the 53 which is exactly what "probably won't" means. If he makes the roster it would be at the expense of Philly Brown who they love. Can't see Gettleman having 3 tiny guys in the WR corps and Ginn is a lock.

What is the possibility that Cotch is cut in order for someone like Byrd to make the team? Everything you hear from DG or RR about Cotch is his leadership and vet presence, but nothing about production on the field; is the roster spot really worth it for just that? Olsen and Kalil offer that on the field, don't need someone who isn't productive eating up a spot when there is youth and talent to be had.
