That's what public service honorary degrees are, given to those who donate a poo ton of money, etc. JR isn't different than anyone else.

As an alumni I am glad he did though, it's a very nice stadium, beautiful surroundings and has a lot of room to be added onto. It was only a matter of time. UNCC is blowing up and is way too overcrowded IMO, and that was years ago.

Nothing to see here. Every university does this and it is no big deal.

Plus, these donations reduce the amount of tax dollars spent on this stuff...not sure why others would be upset.
