NFL odds 2015: Bovada has Panthers and Falcons as co-favorites to win the NFC South

Recommended Posts

Sportsbook has the Panthers, Saints and Falcons all at +180.

I don't pay attention to media predictions but I do pay attention to what the bookies say and they seem to agree the division is basically a toss up between those three teams.

"The only reason why the Panthers were winning the NFC South was Mike Smith and the Falcons injuries. Atlanta was and is the best team in this division. I think Atlanta could be 12-4 or 13-3, Carolina 8-8 or 6-10"

-_-

Prepare thy anus. Hell hath no fury than a healthy Cammy Cam with a new 6'5 stud.

Butbutbut Falcons are going to a zone blocking scheme and that'll make all those crappy O-linemen instant All-Stars clearing the way for 3rd rounder Tevin Coleman to rush for over 2,000 yards! Plus Vic Beasley is gonna get at least 15 sacks with Quinn's new defense! The Panties draft was crap, wasting picks on guys that don't have real positions in the NFL. Falcons got this in the bag!

And you thought we were a bunch of homers in here? Puh-leez

The issue I see is the Panthers coaches can be easily out coached by the other coaches in the division.

The players will have to win in spite of game plans and coaching once again. This is what holds the Panthers back in the playoffs too.

That is how I see it. Talent is there to win it. Has been there for a few years. Coaching is not even close. Need to change philosophy or change the coaches if you want to get past mediocre.

Have the same coaches (except ST) that coached the team to 12-4 with a playoff bye 2years ago. Ditto for last year when we lost a poo ton of talent on the O-Line, WRs, CBs, and Safety. Showed long term thinking not playing the rookies right away and waiting until they wouldn't be overwhelmed on the field. As far as the division coaches, can't say we got outcoached there when we swept the Bucs and smoked the Failcons and Taints on their homefields in the re-matchs with our re-made rookie-featuring team.

You mean the opposite in the playoffs , it was lack of pass protection and non talented WR that we lost to Seattle. The year before that against the 49rs the lack of talent at OG caused the failure at the goal line.

It's got to be a bad time for you to be a Panther fan right now isn't it? And it isn't going to get any better any time soon either. If you are waiting for Rivera and Co. to be gone before you can expect growth. You best get a ccmfy chair, grab a brew or twenty, and sit back and wait it out.

These are not your daddy's Panthers'. But, I guess you are not wanting to hear that. As it goes against your worry set. Part of me wants to help you out. (The good guy in me) But part of me just wants to sit back and enjoy your misery. (The bad guy in me)
