Really Good Write-up on Funchess and What He Brings

Recommended Posts

You're on the money, DaCityKats.

It's strange. While I coveted Strong (and likely still do because of his physicality, hands and work ethic), I never bothered to do any real research on Funchess. He completely went under my radar. If Devin can just fix his drops issue and develop some blocking skills, he'll be something terrifying.

Some of those idiots who lusted for DGB actually got a clone without the baggage too.

this was me.  all I knew was some thought he was a TE, and I didn't want any part of that so I don't

even think I read one article about him.

Happy with the pic now

Watch the hips how smooth he breaks and change direction how low he gets when making a move and the slight use of his hands... Also notice the speed he gets on one guy when they play off coverage. Then the moves he already have to beat press coverage......This guy can be a number 1 wr... The next idiot talking head calling him a TE needs to be smacked...

Lol damn he broke so many ankles in that video.  Mother fugers clinging on for dear life after they realize Devin just put the moves on 'em.  That'll be a flag in the NFL.

Crazy how he can change direction that quick at that size.

I don't get what people are watching (likely haven't watched anything at all, just hearsay and combine 40 times) when they say he's slow.  This guy looks quick as fug on the field.  Moves like a smaller guy, and seems to have breakaway speed a lot closer to his 4.4 pro day than his 4.7 combine time.

Also those saying he's a raw route runner... lol, of course.  He hasn't learned an NFL fuging playbook yet - like every WR coming out.  That is about one of, if not THE dumbest knock you can give a WR coming into the NFL.  Unless they're stiff as poo in their movements, don't bash the their route running potential.  You can tell by Devin's movements, hips, and breaks that he'd be one crisp route running sum bitch once he learns the offense.
