What I don't like about him, is he doesn't have that killer instinct when attacking the ball in the air like someone his size should. Kelvin has it, Jeffery has it, Megatron and Dez have it... All the elite and even 2nd tier big wideouts have that aspect of their game. Really hope Funch can develop it.

 

I think some of that has to do with having a QB who puts you in poor position. I saw a few instances where his QB put him in dangerous situations. I think the biggest help would be to have Cam and Funch to establish a chemistry quickly.

 

Im excited about our WR core. It fits our identity.

i was going to do one of these for the draft picks as well, but Funchess is really smooth getting into and out of breaks. no wasted steps, can sink his hips,  and shows decent COD. he did have a sub 7.0 3 cone at his pro day, which is considered elite, especially when you take into account he is 6'4 230 pounds. 

 

its a side by side out with Dorsett and Funchess running the same route and he gets into his break before Dorsett does. and i think Dorsett is very good at running routes.

It's strange. While I coveted Strong (and likely still do because of his physicality, hands and work ethic), I never bothered to do any real research on Funchess. He completely went under my radar. If Devin can just fix his drops issue and develop some blocking skills, he'll be something terrifying.

Some of those idiots who lusted for DGB actually got a clone without the baggage too.
