Broke down car help

I have a 2005 Equinox that blew the motor two days ago. It has 178k miles and is sitting at a gas station in Kannapolis because I can't afford to tow it anywhere.

It's not worth fixing, could I get anything out of it? Thought about just giving it away of someone will tow it, but I'm trying to figure out what other options might be out there.

My buddy would probably tow it. I dunno if he'd pay anything but he'd take it

Donate it and take the tax write-off. Plenty of non-profits will accept donor junkers, they take them to the scrapyard for sheet metal money.

According to Kelley Blue Book, the car is worth about $2500. If the head wasn't warped and no rods were bent when it cooked off, it'll run you about $1000 to get the head gasket replaced.

I know nothing about this company but they do car removal in Rowan county and will tell you what they will give you for it over the phone. Sorry to hear about the trouble JOAT.

I lost the bottom end of the motor, oil poured out on the road and then once I got into the parking lot. It was pretty clear the engine gave out. Parts were following me up 29.

Call around to a couple body shops. They might be interested in some of the parts depending on condition. Those computers aren't cheap.
