La'el Collins signs with Cowboys

Dallas has a 36-year-old QB with a broken body and propensity to collapse in big games.

Dallas has a terrible defense. Absolutely atrocious. Garbage.

Dallas is one of the oldest teams in the league and 3 of their most talented and important players (Bryant, Hardy, Gregory) suffer from mental illness and are never gonna be reliable.

Dallas lost their best player to free agency and replaced him with a injury prone RB that was a bust in Oakland.

Dallas spent all their high picks on OL for years. In another year or two they'll either have to let those guys walk in FA or spend the majority of their cap on OL.

Dallas has only won 2 wild card playoff games since '96. That's it. They haven't played in a conference championship game in 20 years.

Dallas has a egotistical maniac for an owner. He is the GM, President, Public Relations Officer - everything. Jerry Jones is a moron and runs a circus.

LoL @ the mass number of idiots praising Dallas in this thread. Then again, it's the same idiots that bashed Hurney for drafting Kuechly and bashed Gettleman for cutting Smith.

I can't believe people are actually saying Dallas is a contender and favorite in the NFC. They played a weak schedule last year and beat up on crap teams. They folded like a wet paper towel against GB. They are going nowhere until they get a new QB and field a competent defense.

You're mad.

Dallas went 3-1 against the NFC West, not a weak division at all, and spanked Seattle in Seattle. They did sweep the AFC South, but hey, that is a weak division that the Panthers play this season. Lost a close game in Green Bay by 5. Finished 12-4. It's going to be a great Thanksgiving game this year. Can't wait.

It's interesting.  Collins will get all the attention that the star provides.  I just think it's interesting what he thinks his future is.  The left side is pretty set with Smith and Martin.  The spent a high choices on their Center who played well.  They had two quality RTs with experience (can't recall if they kept both) so does he see himself as a RG?

I guess an interesting choice for Collins.  He could have had a shot at LT (and the future payday) here.

Martin is the rookie ALL PRO RG. Frederick is the second team ALL PRO Center. Collins will take 3rd yr UDFA Ron Leary's spot at LG. The scouts says he has position flexibility. That line with Smith, Collins, Frederick, Martin and Free at RT can be great. Dallas STILL drafted two more OTs this year! Third and seventh rounders for depth and competition for Free's RT spot. Collins kept mentioning the opportunity to play with the best line in NFL history. Strong statement.

Not to disappointed we didn't get Collins out best chance was to draft him, but people keep overlooking the importance of a quality left tackle

Per Zod, the Panthers actually don't believe that La'El Collins is a "quality left tackle".

They saw him as a second rounder, and a right tackle only.
