Anyone else a little worried about DE?

Ealy and Alexander will be a really interesting battle for the starting job. That being said I think both will get good playing time.

Ealy could even move inside on 3rd down like he did in college and like Hardy did a little

Right or not, I'm operating under the assumption that Frank Alexander can't be counted on. He's been an idiot before, but hopefully he's turned a corner and ready to play.

CJ, not worried. Ealy, showed promise, but he's still coming off his rookie year. Everyone else is meh as rotational players.

If they do struggle (likely IMO), at least we have KK to rush the passer...and now with Shaq, a freed up LB to blitz more if needed.

Im not.

Ealy is a first round talent. He will come into his own.

Who had a better season as a rookie DE than Kony?

I've thought that question myself. Only one pass rusher put up a higher sack total than Ealy last year, Aaron Lynch in SF. Not bad considering there were 10 OLBs and DEs taken before him in the draft.

Long story short, when Gettleman says a guy he got in the 2nd is a first round talent, he means it. Between Ealy and KK, I've got high hopes for Funchess.

Extremely worried. Hands of the Defense! They make poo happen! Outside of CJ, there are too many question marks.

Will Ealy continue to progress?

Frank stay clean?

CJ stay healthy?

This has potential to be as bad as our OT woes last year. Only positive, RR and SM can get imaginative for awhile, but eventually, lack of edge rush will expose itself
