Kid friendly restaurants?

... right... Mother's Day dinner out.

Because being waited on by, more than likely, a mother who has to work that day will make for such an awesome experience. Especially if you play the elitist and feign the "I feel so sorry for you having to work today" line for your server as they work for a couple bucks an hour plus your miserable $5 tip.

Mother's Day and Valentine's Day are hell to work in a restaurant.  Well-mannered and behaved kids are fine...so if yours is, no big deal IMO (though you and the wife may want a break).

But if your child is one who cries, throws things on the floor, and yada yada...leave it with someone else.

Signed, a part-time waiter who will be working 12 hours on Mother's Day.

Young kids of that age are just downright unpredictable, and they generally hate crowds and waiting on food (two things that are a definite in a restaurant.)

Call in a take out order at her favorite restaurant, then take her and the kid out for a picnic someplace nice. No cooking, no cleaning, no crowds and if the weather holds, maybe some great memories.
