I think I would probably succumb to alcoholism if I lived in relative isolation like that. I LOVE to visit places like that though.

My coworker lives in Montana several months a year. He says there are two seasons; winter and roadwork.

 

 

Yeah that's why I'm thinking Arizona, Hawaii, North Carolina, or a small, small town tucked in a corner somewhere in Cali.

Yeah my wife showed me an article about a woman that made $125K/year in NYC and she left it all to go make $10/hour scooping ice cream in St. John's in the Caribbean. She said it's not always easy but she feels like she is living life so much more now.

 

 

 

Yeah - she has been all over the news recently. She has it figured out IMO - that exact thought has been in the back of my mind for years. Save some money, move to some Caribbean island and live a simple life bartending or something similar. 

 

I think watching Cocktail many years ago got that in my head and the thought has never left and only gets more prevalent the older I get. My son graduates college this weekend but I still have a 10 year old girl that I stays with me 3 days a week, so following through is not an option at the moment. 

 

But one day...
