There is actually a Habanero Sculpin as well. I have not tried or even seen it myself yet though.

 

Too hot for my taste, and I love spicy.

 

Bought a 6 pack, and still have 4 left over a couple weeks later...not normal at mi casa.

My sister works at a beer and wine shop in Hickory NC.  Called and said she was holding me back a six pack of an IPA that was pretty popular.  This was lat week.  She said it would be sold out very soon.  Got it today; "Grapefruit Sculpin".  I have said this before and I will most likely say it again about some other beer, but this beer is possibly the best beer I've ever had.

Anyone know where I can get this in the North Charlotte / Concord area? A co-worker checked the Total Wine here in University area an said they didn't have it.

I was at the Ballast Point brewery in San Diego a few weeks back. They told me they have a rep here in the Carolina's so it will start showing up more. I've found it at Frugal MacDougals near Carowinds and Grapevine in Baxter. Grapevine also had the Habenero Sculpin which was very good.

What would be your favorite ballast besides the grapefruit?

Victory at Sea.

Dorado is double delicious.

Sea Monster stout.

Piper Down.

I'm spoiled.

Habanero Sculpin is great for a change up.

Bonus empty bottles of Ballast Fugu vodka and Ballast 3 Sheets Rum.

I bought the Grapefruit Sculpin at Stella Brew in Winston.. They don't have a huge selection but carry a lot of the top rated brews from around the country

Finally found this in a store today and they were limiting to 2 bottles per customer.  Fortunately I was with a buddy who doesn't really drink craft beers so I got 4.

 

Ive only had one so far and Im hoping that it will grow on me.  Not bad but not my favorite by a long way.

I had a pint last night at dinner. It was not worth the $8 i paid, but yall talked it up enough to make me want to try it. It was tasty, but i wouldn't put it beyond other ipas.
