You have to feel better about this roster compared to last year.

We were one of the worst rushing teams in the league last season until we started using the read option even with Khalil.

And our pass blocking was still bad when we forced to pass.

We started guys we found on the street at RB at one point, and as for pass blocking Tackle is the big issue, particularly Bell and Chandler, and neither of them should have been starting this year.  Again, the interior of the line played well mostly due to how Khalil helping mentor 2 young kids on his side.  Not only did he not play poorly, he might have had one of the best performances of his career.

And what website are you reading that from (because I know you weren't watching the games)?

I don't think he cares about websites or any other sources to back up some of his statements. Just about every topic he posts about, it  seems like he thinks up the most negative reply he can and goes with it.

I would have liked the OP a lot better without all the subjective numbers. The case can be made that we are a better team just from common sense.

As for people trying to question Stew's excellence last year based on the beginning of the season, I just laugh.

During the stretch that mattered for us to make the run, Stew was arguably the best back in the league. Funny how better health and line play, as well as being the featured back, makes everyone look better...

Without Stew, we don't get into the playoffs.

Notwithstanding his injuries, playing second fiddle, and playing behind some suspect lines, Stew's career rushing average is right up in line with some pretty good ones. Sure he is no Hofer due to injuries and overall production, but he is far from a slouch.

See, now there's that optimism. I'm proud of ya buddy.

If you wanna be negative, so be it.  But know what you're talking about and be able to back it up.

He meant the other Khalil. Matt.

That's cool, but did he say anything about Matt or Ryan Kalil?

Obviously... we found our footing late, retained most, if not all, key contributors and then added pieces to positions of weakness.

But again, my only complaint is that i wouod have done a lot more to address WR. But, regardless, its better than we were last season.

Would you believe it auto corrects to that spelling? Weird...

Anywho, I was trying out my funny skillz. Not on my game today. He just said Kalil.

So Cam being one of the most hit and sacked QBs had nothing to do with Khalil?

What happen when Arizona and Seattle made us one dimensional? Yeah the line struggled to protect Cam

Most of the pressure, hits and  sacks came from outside pressure, that had nothing to do with Kalil,

Arizona?

The team that got a total of one sack on us and was only in the game because of a couple of flukey plays forced us to be one dimensional?  Seriously?

(we had four sacks and two picks on them, by the way)

You're talking about the team we scored three TDs against, two passing (one just a screen pass) and one rushing.

You're talking about a game where the difference in net rushing and net passing was ten yards (188 to 198).  Quick Tip: We call that balance.

Give up now, kid.  You're just digging a hole.

You can't be serious? Did you watch that cardinals game?

That game was a joke our offense only produced cause the opposing offense was god awful and couldn't stay on the field.

You think 188 passing yards is good in today's NFL? LMAO

Good lord your living in the 60s.

Our passing game was so bad that game we had to run on it 3rd downs

    • Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.
    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
