He said someone from Dallas called him and said they wanted Shaq. It wasn't hypothetical.

The most dangerous thing you can do in the draft, is say "he'll be there in the next round."

 

I wish more people understood that.

 

 

On RB- CAP (UFDA) - he's going to get every opportunity. You have people yell and scream that he cant hit a homerun. How many 20 yard runs are there in the NFL? You're playing guys that are playing at warp speed. Its about vision, instinct and accelerate at the right time.

 

A Patient approach rarely goes over with fans, but it often works.

Fans love 'home run' offenses like the Eagles, but the defensive players that get no rest on the flip side of those offenses hate them.

Actually it isn't.  There was a source in Dallas that confirmed it.

Overall, a very solid interview. I love listening to DG talk football. You can tell he knows what he's doing.

It's easy to talk about your draft, after it's done.

 

He wasn't so upfront, "talky" or honest before it.

 

 

This may be the most over reaching complaint I have ever heard.

You obviously read this in a vacuum.

 

Essentially, the poster was saying Gettleman was more open this year with the media.

 

And I was just being a smart ass (mentioning how tight lipped he was before the draft), stating that he's was exactly the same no different. Meaning, of course he talks, is more open after the draft as last year. Why wouldn't he?

 

Now let's move on.

Actually he said he didn't know (could have been pretending). However, the Mac Attack did confirm to him that a Dallas Reporter said the Cowboys were going to take Thompson indeed.

 

So you're correct. It wasn't hypothetical.
