David Gettleman draft Recap on WFNZ.

Don't try to deflect; change it around.

My point was: He was no more open this year than he was last year, as you attested.

We didn't hear about our interest in James that tackle out of Miami in last years draft until this year. We heard straight up that we were interested in Humphreys. We heard that 4-5 picks were getting picked in the 2nd round. (IE Landon Collins, Donovan Smith, Mario Edwards Jr., TJ Yeldon, Devin Smith, Preston Smith, Goldman).

I liked that so much better than the just the BPA at that pick which was also said but I feel he game more info this year.

haha I totally agree. I try to laugh it off. Look at last years draft and undrafted rookies and people still talk about wasting the Gaffney pick when NE stole him from us.

Difficult for me to laugh it off when Atlanta, New Orleans, and Tampa fans are saying the same things about Carolina that these Huddlers do. I expect better from Panther fans. Is that setting the bar too high? Optimism is equal to homerism here?

I think there is a disconnect from being critical and being negative. I can criticize the front office or Cam or the offense or the team but if all I say is the negative things than that is where optimistic fans get down on those posters or fans.

I understand those who don't believe in Gettleman yet because of small sample size, but if you criticize than you must also give equal props when things turn out well.

This is where they move the goalposts. Something good happens, it must be minimized or excused, never appreciated.

I don't have a problem with people being critical, but when that's all you are, then you're not a fan anymore. Fans are by definition at least occasionally positive. Unless you're a Browns fan. That mean you like pain.

"we weren't going to shop hungry."  Every time I do that I end up saying 'can't believe I bought this crap'.

"I believe in Oher. We put in a ton of film work." The guy did start for 5 yrs. in Baltimore, and he's not 29 yet.

"We like Teddy Williams."  Hope we do too.

"We have talent on our roster..."  The grass is always greener.....

I think we need to keep a glossary of famous Gettlemen lines:  "shop hungry, blue goose, hog molllie," etc.

Does anyone know how old Artis-Payne is? I could have sworn I heard DG say he was 25, but my search says he was born in 1992.

He has two different ages on Wikipedia. One says he was born in 1990, the other says '92.
