They both turned out to be good picks.

Just hard to believe how a team that is so community based and with all the local guys that have played for the Panthers, there are so few drafted from SC...especially since Spurrier has been there.

Depending on how he looks coming off that gruesome knee injury late last year:

that injury was one of the most brutal things i've seen.

 

he was so close to catching the game winning TD... then he gets wrecked, fumbles the ball, destroys his knee, and loses the game.

I think Gettleman is playing Chess while these other GM's are playing checkers. Then why would Gettleman sign a LT that has struggled to a 2 year contract? If he plays good this year then you have great depth or trade bait when you replace him with the great depth you have to choose from the Draft/FA class next year.

I really think Gettleman had 2016 in mind for a tackle (if we could find someone that could at least hold it down until then) If he didnt hit a goldmine from a late draft pick.

Have seen some mocks (at least early in the year) that suggested Oakman was so raw and such a red flag he actually could be a late first pick.
