Girlfriend is a phenomenal cook, regardless of medium.

I, on the other hand, could probably screw up canned soup :(

I enjoy cooking when I have time. It is relaxing to me. Plus, I can make better food than a restaurant can for less. My gf is also a really good cook too, though.

If you're going charcoal it doesn't really matter what you get as long as you aren't slow cooking a pork shoulder or something that requires very precise and consistent temps. Based on the fact that you're asking the huddle, I'm guessing this will be used for burgers, chicken, steaks, and the like. If that is the case, just get something sturdy that won't rust tomorrow and you'll be fine. No need to shell out $700 on an egg.

Yeah, definitely not worth buying as a first grill. An egg is a luxury item for people that really love cooking or have money to burn. But the way it cooks and the different things you can do with it are pretty cool

You said she was a mother, get it for her for mothers day next weekend and you'll be her hero

Hey, she loves me.

I'd just feel better if I hadn't already shelled out for a college entry fee and a prom dress that had way less material than I'd have preferred daughter to be wearing

(why do clothes with less material cost more money?)
