Charcoal is where it's at, but gas is more convenient. You don't need a top of the line grill to make good good. Mine is basic with one side burner.

Weber makes good charcoal grills too. They're a bit more expensive since you pay for the name. You could probably find a good one for around 300.

I use a charbroil grill I got for 150 at Lowe's cuz I'm a cheapskate

Yeah, genesis isn't playing. I love the green egg. I will have one of those soon. So versatile.

Haha, it may be charbroil. But I've had mine for years and it still works great. If you take care of it, it'll last. People like to buy grills and leave them in the elements and never clean them and then wonder why they fail
