It was not what I expected but what do I know. I am not sold on Oher at LT just as I was not comfortable with BBell  but it may work out fine.My guess is why take LT unless you are comfortable they can come in and play versus taking one just because you need one.

Ace still praising Hurney...jeez....

That's the problem with most of you people here. I'm not praising Hurney. I'm not a even a Hurney supporter. My beef is that every praise of Gettleman seems to come with a shot at Hurney and it's sad. I'm sure Gettleman wants to be his own man and is fully capable of a compliment that doesn't include a shot at Hurney. I simply pointed out that Gettleman inherited a pretty good core group of players. Not once did I say that it was all you needed to win like Mr.Scot wants to falsely state. Most new GMs walk into situations with a Geno Smith at QB, Brandon Weeden, or some other bum. Gettleman's biggest job was already done for him, finding a franchise QB. Pretty much all I'm saying, Ol Scott wants to turn it into me saying Hurney good and Gettleman Bad, but I'm sure he doesn't wake up and tell his wife, You're beautiful honey, much better looking than the last woman I was fuging. Can we simply not say Gettleman is doing a good job without knocking the man that brought this teams Captains to the team? Obviously not

I will continue to bash Hurney for years, I did it when he was foolishly extending DWill and Stew, along with many others, and I will do it for as long as some of the things he did continue to haunt this franchise.

However I do get what you are saying, Hurney doesn't have to be mentioned, but it's fun for folks, myself included to notice just how different the team is being run.

Funny thing...

Gettleman walked into the best core of players of any GM in NFL history.

Musta been somebody else, right?

That comparison is incorrect. Shaq, who we didn't trade for, would still be considered a "quarter". Same would be said of Daryl and Mayo. So, it would be 3 quarters and 6 dimes.

Which is worth more than 5 quarters.

You have a way with figures. Do you happen to have change for a dollar. :)

Appreciate the write up.  First three picks are solid and should contribute greatly this season.

What I notice on the two 5th rounders was Mayo was defensive player of the year for his conference and Artis-Payne was SEC 1st Team RB.   To me this says they were very productive and the top of their group in their perspective conference.

Can't asked for much more than that in the latter portions of the 5th round.
