What do we do now with Nate Chandler?

Recommended Posts

Chandler is pretty valuable as a backup.  First off, his contract was just extended, so I am not sure how that plays into anything, but he has experience at G and T.  He could save a roster spot as our fourth G and fourth T.

I see the OT position as Oher and Williams, with Remmers as a backup.  If Chandler can play both G and T, (T as well as Martin), he could be valuable.

He is now our backup guard where he played really well two years ago.

He is versatile. Can play OT, G, DT. Yet isn't great at any of those positions so it will be interesting to see what happens. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see him make the roster this year and cut the next to save $$$.

If you're not a starter but can play more than one position, that's a big plus for your prospects. I think he's got a good shot to stick.

He's gotta be on the outside looking in right now in terms of getting a roster spot. Right now, we don't need to do anything with him. Bring him to camp and let him compete.

Don't forget our bet, bruh!

Have you guys seen the backup OGs? a bust and scott, chandler got this!

I did. What was it.

$1,000 america dollars if nate makes the team............

nah a simple football pride/IQ bet. Its a push if nate gets a injury(for me) or if he plays less than 50 snaps(for you).

I still like my chances.

Chandler will make this team.  You all seem to forget that last year he signed a 3 year extension for , $7.95 million.  Cutting him this year will result in 1.1 million in dead cap.  Where as cutting him next year will only result in 400K.

He can play 4/5 o-line positions and can probably play DT in an emergency situation.

Quote me on this.  There is no way Chandler is not on the final 53.
