the similarity is the hypocrisy of making excuses for one and against the other. Yes there are similarities, Cam overthrows a lot, he throws high a lot. Funchess is being hailed as a big who can help with that issue. That is the truth and Cam is still struggling with it. Mobile qb who throws high, yes there is a similarity and to deny that is just being dishonest.

I'm one of the most outspoken here about Cam's penchant for high throws. But of those high throws that I notice somewhat regularly, a very, very small percentage are balls that are gonna get your receiver hurt like that. Mostly they are balls that are too deep on go routes, or too high on comebacks and out routes. I don't recall seeing him float it high on drags and slants much.

this guy should of been drafted , idk why he dident he looks great on film and flys to the ball and now hes playing linebacker instead of safety so thats even better

the pt is he has to deal with the same erratic type passes so he is not the answer to high throws like many are making him out to be or he would have been the answer to the same type passes in college which is a slower game than the pros and is a little easier than the pro game.

 

 

First, Just gonna say, Cam was a 66% completion percentage QB his year at Auburn, thats a 6% difference than garner using the only measurable think you can compare the 2 with and that is pretty significant.  Everyone saw and worried about KB's penchant for dropping passes coming out of last years draft because unlike Funchess, he had Winston who was a legit prospect so I think everyone saw that as his weakness coming out.  Funchess, I think will prove to be better with his drops and concentration at the next level with a better QB that he'll be able to trust a little more, but I do understand the reason why there is concerns.  I just hope that those concerns are overblown and he is a monster.

 I don't think there is as big a concern with Funchess and I am not trying to create more concern. The spin  is what bothers me. Funchess will be good for us because he can compensate for Cam overthrows while at the same time he was not as productive because of similar issues with his college QB?

this is not really about high throws it is about using a similar circumstance to spin Funchess attributes.You can't say he will be more productive because he can compensate for inaccuracy from Cam and at the same time say he was not as productive because of inaccuracy from his college QB.
