Fortunately, random Internet guys have access to something called the combine. He ran twice and his best official time was 4.7. I watched him multiple times throughout his Michigan career, and 4.6-4.7 is about what I would expect.

Regardless, as big as he is, there is huge difference between a guy his size running a 4.47 (on a pro day lol) and a guy, say like Ginn's size, that runs a 4.3, is quick, and can consistently catch the ball.

You and Growl get to share the award for most annoying person on the internet today. It's uncanny how much you complain. It never ever stops. you have a gift that nobody but you seems to value.

It's painful.

You know what will stop the complaining? Addressing WR with fast/talented WRs. That's all I've asked for two years... It doesn't help matters when GMan and Rivera came out before the offseason and said they would need to add speed at WR and basically only made one move to address it, with a guy who isn't a very good WR (Ginn), but rather a great return man.

I want guys that can get open for my QB, so he doesn't have the struggles he had early on last season. We need more quickness, speed at the position...

But oh well, we have what we have now. If GMan would've addressed WR like he does the defense every year, I would be the happiest, most content, excited, cordial, amiable mother effer on this board. Because if he did that, there would be no doubt in my mind that we have the best options possible out there. It shows he cares, and he gave the position competition, and after the best guys win the job, great depth. Until he does that, I will continue to have a problem with the position. You don't like it, don't read it.

Serious question. Do you think you can do a better job as the Panther's GM?

Last night I saw a post on Twitter, and then this morning a Colorado news story saying that QB Chris Bonner has gotten a tryout offer from the Panthers.    Yet I'm not seeing his name on any of the lists floaring around on BBR, the Observer, etc.  Anyone have further info?

2 QBs among our UDFAs / tryouts.  Very interesting if true!

Bonner had a great write up in Feb. at Bleacher Report.

They generally list the guys who have agreed to terms. May or may not list tryout players.

Since the team only signed 7 UDFA players, it would seem there are a few roster spots open for the tryout guys.

Bonner has a tryout with the Redskins also, I believe.

Mr. Scot, Thanks for the reply.  Just saw another reported signing:

Iowa Hawkeyes RB Brandon Wegher

While I'm posting, can I ask a newbie question?  (Been a lurker here for last 2 seasons, just decided to join...)

I'm floored by that massive list of Chargers' UDFAs.  Do they have to pay them all?  Does this all come out of their Cap?  That seems a lot of money for potentially not much reward.  I can't imagine a team having to workout & evaluate and pay all those free agents on top of their draft picks.   It seems like it would be a distraction in building a team.  But I confess I know little about the Chargers' situation.

Welcome aboard.

Throughout the offseason, the NFL only counts the top 51 salaries on the team.  They know it'd be pretty much impossible to fit 90 players under a cap (especially for some teams) so they don't make anyone try.

Once the actual season starts, then everybody counts.  That includes guys on the practice squad and injured reserve.
