Wanted to give this draft the D, but I'll give it a C. The Funchess trade is terrible unless he becomes a really good player. Until then he's a guy who drops a lot of balls, runs slow (watch his game against Notre Dame) and scored 75% of his touchdowns against shitty app state last year. The Mayo pick sucks ass. Coulda gotten some secondary help and have them contribute to special teams and defense. Mayo will be a special teamer his career in carolina. Completely worthless. Like the Cameron artist payne pick. The Oklahoma OT trade was great. Shaq should be a pretty good player.

So 3/5 picks I like = C (even if that is an F on a school grading scale)

You hate everything about this team don't you,

According to you.

That's the caveat.

alright cool so were agreed to check this in a few years and see if there was any player at all drafted after him who is having a better career

As long as were agreed

selected C for both. For day 3 i love the rb (B) and hate the LB(D) so thats why i gave a c. Overall our first two picks were high risk high reward imo. I won't be able to pass judgment until preseason and training camp and all that. I will say I hate hearing a wr has drop problems. Rn he seems like a slightly faster, but overall worse version of KB. Shaq I expect to improve a lot this year since he won't have to spend time learning to play rb, which imo hindered his ability to play S/OLB in college. But with his main role being lb he should improve quickly and i expect him to contribute a good bit this year. OT in the fourth i don't know much about but I'm very happy we got an OT.

so yeah C overall. I hope they all work out

It would've been an A if it weren't for the random linebacker.  I was even surprised DG didn't take one of the DTs on the board given his style.  There must be something they really saw in him.

Easily A but of course people hate it cause they think they can draft pick better then gettlemen,

so no matter what DG does  it'll be an A just bc he's a gm? So everything gurney did was amazing too? Thats honestly horrible logic. Do research and form your own opinion instead of blindly following someone

This draft reminds me a bit of a condensed version of the 2007 Draft (Beason, Jarrett, Kalil).  We really need Funchess to develop into a solid/great WR since we traded a 3rd and 6th for him...but due to Gettleman's draft record, I believe he will do fine.

Gave the overall draft a B-.

Hate that we went into the draft with 9 picks and only ended with 5 picks...also, definitely not a fan of the David Mayo pick...But, I believe Thompson and Williams will make an immediate contribution
