I'll respond to the quotes I already have after my last post, in which I promised to refrain from posting for a few hours...

But if anything else, I hope you realize I'm a genuine, sincere person/fan, Brew. It is not forced. To this point, I was not begrudging gettleman in some eternal, personal beef... But, this draft has been completely unbelievable in a horrible way.

If you ascribe to common sense, nothing about trading your 2nd, 3rd, and 6th to move up and take a glorified TO with a 4. 7 official 40 and a 9% drop rate.

He loves big guys and we need speed. I have nothing else nice to say for tonight, so I'm not gonna post for a few hours.

Yeah ok you go do that.

I guess you wouldn't have drafted Benjamin either with his 13.1% drop rate. Guess what he had a 4.61 40 time as well. You can have a slow day, most experts say that the hand timing vs laser timing only differ by 0.05 to 0.1 sec anyway. So he improved his time by a tenth of a second.

When will people learn to trust Gettleman? With the work he has done so far, he at least deserves the benefit of the doubt and i will support any decision he makes in the draft until i have a reason not to. And no, 'experts' slamming our picks is most definitely not a reason.

I'll take people with actual football credentials criticizing these moves over some blind follower loyalists like most Gettleman supporters are.

Gettleman is so overrated among Panthers fans it's almost funny if weren't so damn sad.

A 2nd. 3rd and a 6th is a lot to give up for

A receiver who only scored 4tds and runs a 4,67

I don't see it. If it were beckham green yes. Devin. No

We gave up a third and a sixth. If we gave up our second we couldn't have selected him in the second round.

Again. You quote his worst time in the 40.

He is essentially a KB clone

Probably would have been much higher if he had Winston throwing to him and not Gardner.

He traded up cause he had a really high grade on the player and thought he wouldn't be there.

I am not necessarily defending DG, but it's hard to negatively judge him at them moment. I know that's not what these forums are for, but I hold you in a much higher esteem than normal posters so it aggravates me that you don't seem to look at the big picture. You seem to be reactionary and pompous.

I know how smart you are. And maybe I am just saying this cause I happen to think differently. But maybe you could be more skeptical without being so critical.

What I don't understand is why we didn't take one of the actual first round quality receivers in the first and then if we really loved shaq trade up to get him. I bet he still would have been there.

So this trade reeks of desperation. Gettleman seen receivers falling off the board and had to settle with a slower TE with bad football iq and is passive on the field. This wouldn't be bad if we didn't need speed.

Can we get a remedial math forum to teach the slower folks about trades/value/cost so when the trade details come out it does take 8 friggin pages to explain these things to the posters who can't keep up?

Those same people with football credentials hated/questioned the 2014 draft.........

There is no point in talking about how good a pick is moments after they are made. Gettleman has done a stellar job in the draft so far, so i have no reason not to support the decisions that he makes.

And i remember how many people thought that the Seahawks were reaching a whole damn lot in the 2011 draft. A draft that netted them players like Richard Sherman and Byron Maxwell.
