Saw a story earlier about him hating Christmas, because he went without presents as a kid, etc.  Seems he comes from a family where his mom worked her butt off to provide for he and his brothers and he's worked for everything he's gotten.

 

Basically, ZERO doubt in my mind Shaq will come in ready to learn, be humble, be hungry, and excel at his job.

The baseball thing is actually pretty interesting and speaks to his character. I loved that he was able to go up there and laugh about it. Very important character trait of humility; he has the ability to laugh at himself. He batted 0-39 and got sh*t on a lot. Very well-spoken and spent the draft with just his family, no friends. I love this kid so much. These are the types of guys I want on my team. Fits the "Panther way" perfectly and will fit right in with our locker room atmosphere. Love this pick more and more every minute.
