We needed speed and again the organization does not realize this. There were possibilities in the 1st round and early second but Funchess is not fast and a TE type player. Teams are still going to find it easy to defend us with no one to break the coverage deep.

 

That just means they have faith in Philly and Ginn to take the top off. Since Ginn got a 2 year deal we can wait a year or 2 to draft his successor, and if Philly turns into that guy, then we won't need to draft one at all.

I am good with this. It is a WR and they liked him enough to trade up for him which means they really liked him. Everybody thought we could move up thanks to the comp picks and Gettleman fifth rounders are akin to third rounders.

I do not know much about this kid but I like what I am hearing and I trust Gettleman
