we got Benjamin in the 1st last year, now we get a player very similar to Benjamin in the 2nd this year, and people are complaining?  we have 2 1000yd receivers, and we just added a guy who is very similar to one of them.  wtf more do you want?  I mean, really?

I'm wondering why we gave up a 3rd and a 6th when the giants gave up a 4th and a 7th to get #33?  wtf.

Devin Funchess ran a 4.47 at his pro day which is more than reasonable for a guy his size.

 

4.7 at the combine.....

Funchess has a LOT of Dwayne Jarrett in him. You watch him play and it's easy to become enamored wih is "spectacular catches" but you look at him closely and realize he's making those plays because he's constantly putting himself in a position where he has to. He does not separate, he isn't explosive. This is a major book or bust move and we gave up a whole, whole lot to make it happen. Pencil that in along with Byron Bell's cousin now the undisputed starter at LT next season, and there's not a lot to like here.

We needed speed and again the organization does not realize this. There were possibilities in the 1st round and early second but Funchess is not fast and a TE type player. Teams are still going to find it easy to defend us with no one to break the coverage deep.
