You say DG "reached", like it was a undeniable fact. Can you prove this to be the case?

Gettleman has reached for a player once, and it's his only true BUST on his draft record - Edmund Kugbila.  Kugbila was projected to go in the 6th or 7th round, maybe even undrafted, and the Panthers burned a 4th rounder on a player that never even appeared in an NFL game.  Stings more when the player taken the pick right after him is the starting LT for the Green Bay Packers...and we have a screaming need at LT.  

 

But you've gotta trust Shaq is going to be a good pick because Gettleman rarely fugs up in the draft.

It was a reach based on talent level available. you use these different sites to make judgments you use game performance to make judgments. the you is collective. The you that is singular is whoever we draft you proclaim them BPA. Now, how you know he is BPA is because he is who we drafted. it the kool Aid so I don't blame you much.

NFL Scouts and personnel guys don't go by media rankings.  Also they have much more contact with the players and people around them than anyone in the media and far better resources to check out the players.

Because some folks on here judge talent evaluation skills by whether or not he drafts the guy whose highlight reel they liked on YouTube.

Because everything I learned about being a NFL GM I learned on Madden and I have over 20 undefeated seasons.
